The ridge should build in over Texas with heights topping out at 592 dam, while 850mb temperatures look to be in the 18-22 deg C range, pushing to 24 deg C by midweek. As a result, afternoon temperatures are expected to be in the upper 90s to around 100 to start the week, then reach the 100-105 degree range from Wednesday onward. Southerly surface flow should also keep humidity levels up, with dewpoints of 65-70 expected. Overnight lows will likely be in the upper 70s due to the muggy conditions. One potential limiting factor, given the steady low-level moisture, could be lingering cloud cover from nightly stratus decks that may occur from the Concho Valley southward.
