...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM MDT THIS
EVENING FOR SOUTHEASTERN SANDOVAL COUNTY...

At 545 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
rain has ended across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen around Placitas. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Bernalillo, Corrales, Santa Ana Pueblo, Coronado State Monument,
  Sandia Pueblo, San Felipe Pueblo, Placitas and Algodones.

This includes the following highways...
Highway 550 between Mile Markers 1 and 2.
Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 236 and 253.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Do not enter or cross flowing water or water of unknown depth.
