...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MDT EARLY THIS
MORNING FOR WEST CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL COUNTY...

At 408 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible
in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Tecolote, Romeroville, Ribera, Chapelle, Ojitos Frios, Los
  Montoyas, San Pablo and San Jose.

This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 321 and 342.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
