...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL DE BACA AND NORTH
CENTRAL CHAVES COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM MDT...

At 444 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles northeast of Mesa, or 33 miles southwest of Fort Sumner, moving
east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central De
Baca and north central Chaves Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on highways as storms move through the area.
