The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. A cold front will bring showers and some thunderstorms from late Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night. There is a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) for severe thunderstorms across much of the southern half of the region from around Albany and the Berkshires southward. The threat for severe thunderstorms is greatest across southern parts of Ulster and Dutchess Counties, where there is a slight risk (level 2 of 5). The main threat is damaging wind gusts. Locally heavy rainfall is expected with the thunderstorms Wednesday night, which may produce ponding of water on roadways and poor drainage flooding in some locations, along with isolated flash flooding. Also, there is a chance of thunderstorms on Saturday into Saturday night for the entire area. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. $$
