...REPEATING STRONG THUNDERSTORMS IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA...

At 526 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Elgin-Plainview to Rochester to Albert Lea.
Storms were moving northeast at 40 mph, however the line of storms
was about stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 30 mph and heavy rainfall. Storms will
         repeat along this line for the next hour.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Localized street flooding is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rochester, Austin, Dodge Center, Mantorville, Kasson, Stewartville,
Byron, Plainview, Eyota, Hayfield, Oronoco, Elgin, Brownsdale,
Marion, High Forest, Lansing, Wasioja, Douglas, Rock Dell, and Viola.

This includes Interstate 90 in Minnesota between mile markers 175 and
178, and between mile markers 204 and 225.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
southeastern Minnesota.
