...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL LACKAWANNA AND
NORTHEASTERN LUZERNE COUNTIES THROUGH 915 PM EDT...

At 839 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Bear Creek, or 7 miles southeast of Wilkes-Barre, moving southeast at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Wilkes-Barre, Kingston, Nanticoke, Plains, Pittston, Plymouth,
Exeter, Swoyersville, West Pittston, and Edwardsville.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Interstate 80 near 273.
 Pennsylvania Interstate 81 between 159 and 175.
 Interstate 476 near 105.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
