...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN CHEMUNG...
SOUTHEASTERN STEUBEN AND NORTHWESTERN BRADFORD COUNTIES THROUGH 230
PM EDT...

At 207 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Elkland, or 17 miles north of Wellsboro, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Corning, Big Flats, Caton, Lindley, Addison, South Corning,
Lawrenceville, Millerton, East Corning, and Erwins.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Interstate 86/Route 17 between 47 and 50.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
