At 1 pm...a broken line of showers with locally heavy rainfall was located from southern Addison and northwest Rutland counties across central-eastern Washington county into Caledonia county moving east-northeast. Some of these areas earlier today witnessed 1 to 1.5 inches of rainfall and there is the potential of another half inch to perhaps an inch of rainfall. Main impacts will be poor visibility, ponding of water on roads and poor drainage issues. However, be alert for possible localized street flooding, especially in poor drainage urban areas. Remember...never cross a flooded roadway. Turn around, don`t drown. If you run across rising water, seek higher ground. These heavy rain showers with the possibility of some embedded thunder will exit Vermont by 4 pm. $$ slw
