...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL ERIE COUNTY THROUGH
1245 AM EDT...

At 1220 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Elma, or near West Seneca, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Buffalo, Cheektowaga, West Seneca, Lackawanna, Depew, Lancaster,
Hamburg, East Aurora, Elma, Marilla, Orchard Park, Small Boat Harbor,
Alden, Blasdell, Wales Center, Elma Center, Woodlawn Beach State
Park, Billington Heights, and South Wales.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 52 and 57.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized flooding. Radar has shown that this storm has a history
of producing an inch of rain in less than an hours time. Do not
drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
