Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 85 mph Path Length /statute/: 3.27 miles Path Width /maximum/: 80 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 06/05/2024 Start Time: 08:44 PM EDT Start Location: 6 E Centerburg / Knox County / OH Start Lat/Lon: 40.3044 / -82.5708 End Date: 06/05/2024 End Time: 08:56 PM EDT End Location: 5 S Mount Vernon / Knox County / OH End Lat/Lon: 40.3126 / -82.5098 Survey Summary: An EF0 tornado developed near County Road 26 south of Sycamore Road in Knox County, damaging a large outbuilding and tree limbs. The tornado continued eastward and continued to cause sporadic tree damage, along with siding and shingles off residences along Garber Road. As the tornado continued to move eastward and after crossing Possum Street, minor roof and siding damage occurred to two residences, and an outbuilding sustained garage door damage with a roof partially torn off and thrown into trees 100 yards to the east. The tornado continued east/northeast just south of Sycamore Road with sporadic tree damage occurring before ending near the intersection of Sycamore Road and Granville Road. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the event and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$ Greenawalt
