...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville affecting Emmet County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville, or from the
  Iowa-Minnesota border to near Wallingford.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, Highway 9 closed just west of river in
  Estherville.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 16.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river should continue to fall, but still
    remain above major flood stage through the middle of next
    week.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
