Isolated showers and storms this morning give way to a dry and pleasant day. Scattered shower and storm chances return late tonight and continue through the end of the week. Some storms may become strong to severe. Although widespread heavy rain is not expected, locally heavy rain is possible with thunderstorms. Unsettled weather with periodic rain chances for the latter half of the weekend into early next week. We`ll see occasionally breezy conditions as well. Temperatures generally within 5 to 10 degrees of normal. Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored. OUTLOOK FOR THURSDAY AFTERNOON...The Grassland Fire Danger Index will reach the low category. The grassland fire danger product reflects fire danger for native grasses. It is not intended for cured agricultural crops, nor will it reflect conditions in road ditches which have been mowed. $$
