...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL EAGLE COUNTY THROUGH 645
PM MDT...

At 618 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles northeast of Eagle to 12 miles
southwest of Avon. Movement was northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Avon, Vail, Minturn, Redcliff, Edwards, Red Cliff, Gilman,
Eagle-Vail, Wolcott, Dowd, and State Bridge.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 150 and 184.
 Colorado 131 between mile markers 1 and 8, and between mile markers
10 and 11.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
