It was a warm start to the day with temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s away from Lake Michigan. All eyes turn to a thunderstorm complex across Minnesota and northern Iowa. This complex of storms is expected to move northeast into northern Wisconsin later this morning. Some of the strongest storms could produce damaging winds, hail and torrential downpours. For this afternoon, it will turn very warm across central and east-central Wisconsin where the heat index could climb into the lower 90s. High temperatures will vary greatly with readings in the lower to middle 70s over the north where more cloud cover and rain is expected. Across east-central Wisconsin, high temperatures should reach the upper 80s. Another round of showers and thunderstorms is possible again late this afternoon and tonight. Some of these storms could become strong or severe with damaging winds, hail and torrential downpours. For Tuesday, it will be hot with high temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s, with heat index values in the 90s including some upper 90s across portions of central and east-central Wisconsin. $$ Eckberg
