Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move east across the area this evening into the early overnight hours. A few of these storms could become severe and produce damaging wind gusts and hail. Brief, heavy rainfall can occur with any storm. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. A tropical system is expected to strengthen in the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday and Thursday as it tracks northward.
