NORTHERN WALDO...NORTHEASTERN ANDROSCOGGIN AND SOUTHEASTERN SOMERSET
COUNTIES THROUGH 445 PM EDT...

At 403 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Newport to 6 miles southwest of Canton.
Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Augusta, Waterville, Fairfield, Oakland, Thorndike, Pittsfield,
Turner, Jay, China, Clinton, Belgrade, Livermore Falls, Manchester,
Canton, Winthrop, Unity, Winterport, Knox, Benton, and Leeds.

This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 112 and 147.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
western, south central, southwestern and west central Maine.
