475 FLUS43 KICT 272149 HWOICT Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Wichita KS 449 PM CDT Thu Jun 27 2024 KSZ032-033-047>053-067>072-082-083-091>096-098>100-282200- Russell-Lincoln-Barton-Ellsworth-Saline-Rice-McPherson-Marion-Chase- Reno-Harvey-Butler-Greenwood-Woodson-Allen-Kingman-Sedgwick-Harper- Sumner-Cowley-Elk-Wilson-Neosho-Chautauqua-Montgomery-Labette- 449 PM CDT Thu Jun 27 2024 This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas, South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas. .DAY ONE...Tonight Scattered thunderstorms are expected to move east to southeast into central and eastern Kansas this evening and overnight. The strongest activity will be capable of dime to quarter size hail and winds up to 65 mph. The greatest potential for strong to severe storms is over central Kansas before midnight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Dangerous heat indices ranging from 105 to 110 degrees will impact the area Friday afternoon and early evening, and again Monday and Tuesday. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected Friday evening and night. Large hail and damaging winds may accompany the stronger storms, along with locally heavy rainfall. Periodic thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast Saturday and Sunday over mainly the southern half of Kansas, and again late Tuesday through late next week. A handful of strong to severe storms are possible throughout this time period, along with areas of heavy rainfall. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
