Showers and thunderstorms impact northeast Kansas this morning
while hot and windy conditions were common in central and western
Kansas. Afternoon highs topped out at 102 in parts of northwest
Kansas while upper 70s were common in extreme northeast Kansas.

Mild and breezy conditions will prevail for much of the region
tonight. A slow moving frontal boundary will bring scattered
showers and thunderstorms to parts of western and central Kansas
tonight. Low temperatures are expected to fall into the mid 60s
over the high plains of northwest Kansas while upper 70s will be
common in south central Kansas.

A frontal boundary will bisect the state on Tuesday. This front
will likely become a focus for showers and thunderstorms on
Tuesday afternoon and evening, with some severe storms possible.
Afternoon highs will range from the mid 80s over northwest Kansas
to near 102 in south central Kansas.
