A few showers and storms have developed this morning across
portions of northeast Kansas and southern Nebraska while
temperatures are generally in the 60s and 70s across the region.
Some areas of patchy fog have developed across portions of High
Plains, but this is expected to dissipated after sunrise. The
showers and storms are expected to move eastward into Missouri
later this morning and early this afternoon. Highs this afternoon
will be in the 90s and low 100s with heat indices around 105 in
portions of Kansas and Nebraska. Chances for showers and storms
will increase across northern Kansas and much of Nebraska tonight,
and overnight lows will be in the 60s and 70s across the region.

For Tuesday, afternoon highs will rise into the 90s and 100s with
much of the region experiencing heat indices between 105 and 110.
A cold front will sag across Kansas, northern Missouri, and
southeast Nebraska, and thunderstorm development is expected along
the front during the late afternoon and early evening hours.
Storms are expected to gradually progress southeast during the
overnight hours. Some of the storms from Tuesday afternoon through
the overnight hours into Wednesday morning could be strong to
severe with large hail and damaging winds possible. Tuesday
night`s lows will be in the 60s and 70s.
