Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE

...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 7 PM MDT MONDAY...
...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 8 PM CDT MONDAY...

.DISCUSSION...

Potential for elevated fire weather conditions along and west of Highway 83
Monday. Afternoon humidity falls to 25 percent or less with readings down
to 15 to 20 percent along and west of Highway 61 as temperatures rise well
into the 90s and even some triple digits south of Interstate 80. However
winds will be relatively light with gusts in the 15 to 20 mph range and
most fuels are not cured which will help mitigate fire weather conditions.

Otherwise, fire weather concerns will generally be low through the upcoming
workweek as humidity starts to increase above critical levels remains above
critical levels and potential for wetting rainfall in showers and thunderstorms
increases from Wednesday through the latter portion of the week.
