Dry conditions are expected over the next 4 hours with steady south winds of 10 to 20 mph and gusts nearing 25 to 30 mph. Current humidity values in the 30 to 40 percent range will recover to above 50 percent by 9-10pm CDT. Main concern tonight will be approach of thunderstorms from the west that may contain gusty, erratic winds. Storms are expected to be weakening as they do. Current thinking is this activity arrives around 11pm-1am and will be capable of sudden gusts up to 45 mph. Rainfall with this activity will be limited to around a tenth of an inch or less. Dry conditions return early Tuesday morning with afternoon highs in the upper 80s and humidity minimums around 30 percent. Winds are likely to be light and variable at less than 15 mph. .TONIGHT... Sky/weather.........Partly cloudy then becoming mostly cloudy. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms early in the evening. Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late evening and overnight, then isolated showers and thunderstorms after 3 am. Min temperature.....Around 58. Max humidity........100 percent. Wind (20 ft)........South winds 8 to 17 mph with gusts to around 32 mph decreasing to 5 to 7 mph with gusts to around 20 mph overnight, then becoming light after 3 am. Gusty and erratic winds expected near thunderstorms early in the evening. Ridgetop wind....... CWR.................10 percent increasing to 20 percent early in the evening, then increasing to 30 percent late in the evening increasing to 50 percent in the late evening and overnight decreasing to 40 percent decreasing to 30 percent after 3 am decreasing to 20 percent.
