Chicago and Rockford...

At Chicago, the average high temperature was 83.8 degrees, which
is 1.3 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was
65.9 degrees, which is 0.8 degrees above normal. The average
temperature for the month was 74.8 degrees, which is 1.0 degrees
above normal. 2.60 inches of liquid precipitation were recorded,
which is 1.65 inches below normal.

The following daily records were set for Chicago this past
August:
* Tied High Minimum Temperature of 74 degrees on 25th.
* Record High Minimum Temperature of 79 degrees on 26th.
* Record High Temperature of 99 degrees on 27th.

No top ten monthly records were set for Chicago during this past
August.


At Rockford, the average high temperature was 82.9 degrees, which
is 0.9 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was
61.2 degrees, which is 0.6 degrees below normal. The average
