Weak upper level troughing and onshore winds continuing through late
week and the weekend. Model forecasts are still leaning toward a
high pressure system strengthening over  northern California next
week, resulting in a period of hotter  and dry weather next week,
with temperatures likely above early  July normals.

Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.

County mountains  and foothills, Sundowner wind gusts to 35 to
45 mph will combine with 25 to 35 percent minimum relative humidity
to create elevated to brief  critical fire-weather conditions.
Elsewhere, elevated fire-weather  conditions are expected across
portions of interior areas each afternoon through next week due to
southwest to northwest winds gusting to 25 to  45 mph combining with
minimum relative humidity of 10 to 30 percent. The strongest of
these winds are expected over the Antelope Valley and  nearby
foothills, as well as the Interstate-5 corridor.
