Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Ridging of 30.1 inches builds over Lake Superior by
this afternoon. This high pressure continues building to 30.2
inches as it moves over the central Great Lakes Saturday,
continuing to shift east toward New England on Sunday. Deepening
low pressure near 29.4 inches emerges out of the High Plains
Saturday night, moving northeast towards Hudson Bay Sunday into
Monday as it deepens to 29.0 inches. This low extends a 29.6 inch
trough over Lake Superior Sunday night before weak ridging of 29.9
inches moves over Lake Superior from the Northern Plains Monday.
A low pressure around 29.5 inches looks to move off the Colorado
Rockies into the Northern Plains early next week.
