Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.0 inch high pressure ridge over the Upper Great
Lakes today will shift into Lower Great Lakes tonight and into New
England on Friday in response to a 29.5 inch low pressure
approaching from the Northern Plains. This low will then weaken
29.6 inches as it tracks across Lake Superior Friday night and
Saturday morning. As the low heads toward southern Quebec on
Saturday, 30.2 inch high pressure will build over the Northern
Plains. The high will then build to 30.3 inches as it shifts east,
reaching the Western Great Lakes Sunday evening and the Central
Great Lakes on Monday.
