Heat index values as high as 107 degrees are expected today over the eastern Rolling Plains and far southeast Texas Panhandle. A Heat Advisory is in effect for this area from 1 PM until 8 PM CDT. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the far southern Texas Panhandle and northwestern South Plains late this afternoon and evening. Strong wind gusts up to 60 mph will be possible with this activity. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Temperatures or heat index values near 105 degrees will be possible across the far southeastern Texas Panhandle and portions of the Rolling Plains Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Low chances for late-afternoon and evening thunderstorms remain in the forecast for portions of the far southern Texas Panhandle, South Plains, and Rolling Plains from Tuesday through Friday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
