...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN JONES...CENTRAL
LENOIR...WEST CENTRAL CRAVEN AND NORTHERN DUPLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 345
PM EDT...

At 301 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
La Grange, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Kinston, Phillips Crossroads, Deep Run, Fort Barnwell, Wyse Fork,
Dover, and Sandy Bottom.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
eastern North Carolina.
