FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
535 AM EDT Wed Jun 19 2024

.DISCUSSION:

Frequent chances for rain for the rest of the week will continue
to limit fire weather concerns. Following widespread showers and
storms across the western half of the UP this past night, spotty
shower activity continues mainly across the central and eastern
UP through the rest of the morning. Dry weather is looking likely
for most of Thursday, but some stray shower activity will not be
ruled out during the afternoon. Otherwise, expect temperatures to
come in much cooler today compared to yesterday, with highs
generally ranging in the 70s. SW winds stay elevated this morning,
but gradually turn calmer this afternoon while shifting to the
NW. Winds remain light through Thursday while temperatures peak in
the 70s once again.
