.DISCUSSION...
Gusty north or northwest winds will peak early this evening following the
passage of a cold front. Gusts up to 25 mph will be possible on the ridges
through midnight. The wind will diminish through the night, and by tomorrow
morning the wind regime will become mainly terrain driven as high
pressure builds over the north Cascades. Tuesday will be warm and dry
with light wind. Another cold front on Wednesday will bring a 20 percent
chance of showers. The passing cold front will also bring more gusty
northwest winds Wednesday afternoon/evening and again on Thursday. At this
time, it looks like sustained winds of 8 to 12 mph with gusts of 20 to
25 mph will occur Wednesday and Thursday.

Assumed elevation for valley is 1400 ft and 3000 ft for ridge.
