Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
201 PM PDT Sat Sep 21 2024

.DISCUSSION...A flat upper level ridge will settle over the region
through the forecast period bringing with it warmer temperatures
and dry conditions. Daytime RHs will decrease with the lowest RHs
occurring in central OR. However, no fire weather concerns will
occur. A weak shortwave will makes its way around the ridge
bringing enhanced winds Sunday to the wind prone areas of the
Gorge and the Kittitas Valley. An upper level trough will begin to
make itself known mid week bringing with it cooler temperatures
and chances of rain along the mountains. The trough will also
increase daytime RHs through the latter half of the period.

***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
