The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Sandy Hook to Little Egg Inlet NJ out 20 nm...

* Until 830 PM EDT.

* At 635 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 20 nm
  southwest of Cliffwood Beach to 24 nm west of Silverton to 22 nm
  west of Pine Beach to 28 nm northwest of Little Egg Inlet, moving
  east at 35 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small
           hail.

  SOURCE...Public.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Ocean Gate, Leonardo, Ship Bottom, Atlantic Highlands, Monmouth
  Beach, Axel Carlson Reef, Silverton, Harvey Cedars, Forked River,
  Fair Haven, Lavallette, Barnegat Light, North Beach Haven, Point
  Pleasant Beach, Belmar, Seaside Park, Manasquan Inlet, Pine Beach,
  and Beach Haven.
