Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
1151 AM MDT Mon Jun 17 2024

...Red Flag Warning in effect for portions of the area through 9
PM MDT Today...

.Discussion...

Meteorological conditions favorable for extreme fire behavior
will occur over all of the district today, with a Red Flag
warning now in effect for all of south central and southeast
Colorado. A cool front will cross the district late tonight and
tomorrow morning, and this will bring cooler air to the region
along with increasing low level moisture. Wednesday will be
sharply cooler across all of the district and there will be a good
chance of wetting rains across most of the district.

Warmer temperatures will return to the region by late week,
however a monsoon pattern will develop over the district bringing
a chance of showers and storms to the area.

Smoke dispersion will be excellent this afternoon and tomorrow
afternoon.
