...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL GREENUP...
NORTHWESTERN GALLIA...SOUTHERN JACKSON AND NORTHWESTERN LAWRENCE
COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM EDT...

At 433 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Franklin Furnace, or 8 miles southwest of Wheelersburg, moving
northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Jackson, Oak Hill, Rio Grande, Wheelersburg, Greenup, Franklin
Furnace, Gallia, Vernon, Adamsville, Mabee, Haverhill, Grays Branch,
Pedro, and Centerpoint.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It takes only a few inches of
swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
