This afternoon, temperatures were in the 90s to low 100s with heat indices ranging from 98 to 105 degrees under partly to mostly sunny skies. Winds were out of the south to southeast at 5 to 15 mph with higher gusts. Now, here`s a quick forecast summary, for West Central Texas. The hot and humid pattern is expected to continue for the foreseeable future. Overnight lows tonight will be very mild in the mid 70s to low 80s with the warmest temperatures across the Big Country. The humidity gets even worse tomorrow with heat indices across our eastern counties in the 105 to 107 degree range, prompting a Heat Advisory for the eastern Big Country and Heartland. Similar conditions can be expected through this weekend with no real reprieve in sight as dry conditions continue through at least mid-next week. $$
