At 128 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms generally north of a Tulsa to Fayetteville
line. Showers were heaviest in Nowata and Washington counties in
Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Tulsa and Bentonville, Rogers
and Fayetteville areas. Movement was slowly to the southwest at 5 to
10 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was around one
tenth of an inch with maximum amounts of one quarter to one half of
an inch. Intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area
forecast for late tonight, mostly cloudy, a chance of showers and a
slight chance of thunderstorms with temperatures 76 to 83 degrees
and northeast winds up to 5 mph.
