At 628 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers, some with heavy rain mostly northwest of a line from Hugo
to Fayetteville. They were most widespread and heaviest in Okfuskee,
Okmulgee and Creek counties in Oklahoma. The precipitation was in
the Tulsa area. Movement was to the east at around 20 mph. The
average amount where it rained last hour was around one tenth of an
inch with maximum amounts of three quarters to around an inch.
Intensity increased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast
for early this evening, cloudy, occasional showers and scattered
thunderstorms with temperatures 69 to 82 decreasing to 67 to 72
degrees and north winds 5 to 10 mph.
