At 1142 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly in northeast
Oklahoma and along and west of I49 in Arkansas. They were most
widespread and heaviest in Mayes and Rogers counties in Oklahoma.
The precipitation was in the Tulsa and Bentonville, Rogers and
Fayetteville areas. Movement was slowly to the south at 5 to 10 mph.
The average amount where it rained last hour was around one tenth of
an inch with maximum amounts of an inch and a half to two inches.
Coverage increased but intensity decreased during the last hour. The
Tulsa area forecast for overnight, mostly cloudy, a chance of
showers and thunderstorms with temperatures 79 to 85 degrees and
northeast winds up to 10 mph.
