.DISCUSSION...Today will be a much less active day overall.
The main area of focus today will be from the White Mountains to
the Brooks Range and specifically northwest of Fort Yukon where
scattered thunderstorms are expected. Most of the thunderstorms
will be wet, but there is still a chance for a few dry
thunderstorms across the Interior, especially in the Yukon Flats.
Temperatures will be warm once again but a couple of degrees
cooler than yesterday with min RHs a few ticks higher. Winds will
be near red flag criteria in the western Yukon Flats but shouldn`t
reach criteria.
Otherwise, the thunderstorm risk continues to be lower tomorrow
with the main risk in the Brooks Range and along the AlCan border.
These should all be wet thunderstorms. Temperatures will remain
warm with the majority of the area in the 80s through the weekend.
