.SYNOPSIS...Favorable marine conditions outside of any scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue along the Lower
Texas Coast through Tuesday courtesy of surface high pressure
over the western Gulf of Mexico. A weakening front and upper level
disturbance approaching Wednesday may increase winds and choppy
waters due to more coverage of rain. Wednesday night...and
especially Thursday and Friday...swells from an expected,
rapidly intensifying tropical cyclone in the eastern Gulf will
make for difficult conditions for small craft. Otherwise, light
winds should prevail and drier air filtering in should end rain
chances at the same time. Check hurricanes.gov for the latest
information on the tropics.
