A few thunderstorms are possible over the Beartooths/Absarokas through early this evening. Otherwise a high pressure ridge will persist through Wednesday evening. Energy and a weak cold front will move through the districts late Wednesday through Wednesday evening. Expect isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms over and near the western mountains and over the Northeast Bighorns. There will also be a slight chance of thunderstorms over far southeast Montana. Highs will be in the 80s to lower 90s with humidities in the 20s and 30s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will affect most of the area Wednesday evening, then will move east of Billings overnight. Some storms may produce heavy rainfall. Low-level jet will be over Southeast Montana Wednesday evening. Strong cold front will cross the districts on Thursday with possible strong to severe thunderstorms. Friday will be drier and cooler with gusty northwest winds.
