...A cluster of strong thunderstorms will impact portions of
northeastern Calhoun, southwestern Clarendon, southwestern Sumter
and southeastern Richland Counties through 645 PM EDT...

At 552 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near St. Matthews, or 13 miles southeast of McEntire
Air Base, moving east at 20 mph.

...Boaters on Lake Marion Should Seek Safe Harbor...

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph and frequent lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Sumter, St. Matthews, Summerton, Eastover, Congaree National Park,
Gadsden, Millwood, Poinsett State Park, Pinewood, Paxville, Cane
Savannah, Rimini, St. Paul, Fort Motte, Stumphole Landing, Privateer,
Wedgewood, Creston, Lone Star, and Low Falls Landing.

This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 104 and 110.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
