Whilst water levels have begun to recede, some larger rivers will not crest until this weekend. Rainfall through tonight could prolong the crest depending on how much new rainfall falls in that area. Thunderstorms are possible today into tonight, mainly from central Minnesota into northwest Wisconsin. Severe storms are not expected but heavy rainfall is possible, mainly from east-central Minnesota into portions of northwest Wisconsin. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday With water levels still elevated, flooding remains a concern across northeast Minnesota. Further rain and storms on Saturday may cause more hydrological issues across the area heading into the weekend. Additionally, strong to severe storms are possible across northwest Wisconsin on Saturday. There will be a high risk of rip currents Saturday along the beaches in the Twin Ports. A few strong to severe storms are possible Monday afternoon through late Monday night. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Skywarn spotters may be needed Saturday and again Monday.
