IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. Gusty winds will
continue.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
northwestern Illinois...and east central Iowa.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT
FOR SOUTH CENTRAL ROCK ISLAND AND SOUTHWESTERN SCOTT COUNTIES...

At 816 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Davenport Municipal Airport to Reynolds, moving
east at 35 mph. Severe winds look to persist behind this leading
edge for a period of time.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Davenport, Walcott, Blue Grass, Buffalo, Andalusia, Reynolds, Taylor
Ridge, Edgington, Buffalo Shores, and West Lake Park.

This includes Interstate 280 between mile markers 1 and 7.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
