Thunderstorm chances will gradually increase Friday through the
weekend, with activity becoming scattered to widespread early next
week. Some storms could be strong with gusty winds, heavy
rainfall, and frequent lightning.

Heat indices ranging from 97 to 106 degrees are likely this
weekend into early next week.
