Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The overnight hours saw multiple lines of storms move across the
region. Temperatures as of two in the morning ranged from 56 in
Joes, Colorado to 67 in Hill City, Kansas. Winds were a little
erratic through the night due to the thunderstorms in the area.
The prevailing winds were around 5 to 10 mph from the east.

OUTLOOK... For today, a few showers and storms may linger in
Northwest Kansas and Southwest Nebraska, but most of the region
will see mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures are forecast to be a
bit cooler in the 70`s. Thunderstorm chances increase again late
this afternoon and evening as storms are forecast to fire in East
Central Colorado and move east across parts of the region. Storms
are forecast to dissipate shortly after midnight with a mix of
clouds and clear skies through the remainder of the night. Lows
are forecast to drop into the 50`s. Tomorrow, partly cloudy skies
are forecast with highs warming back into the 80`s. Thunderstorms
are expected to develop over Eastern Colorado during the afternoon
and evening hours and move east into the rest of the region.
Storms may be severe both days.
