...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WESTERN RAWLINS COUNTY THROUGH
830 PM CDT...

At 802 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles southeast of McDonald, or 14 miles southwest of Atwood, moving
east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Nickel size hail, torrential rainfall and wind gusts up to
         55 mph.

SOURCE...The public reported pea to nickel size hail in McDonald at
         800 PM CDT.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of western Rawlins
County, including the following locations... Blakeman and Beardsley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall with this storm may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
northwestern Kansas.
