...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

Nearshore waters from Washington Island to Sturgeon Bay...
Open waters of Lake Michigan from Rock Island Passage to Sturgeon
Bay...

At 205 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from near Peshtigo Reef Light to 13 nm
southeast of Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Light, moving northeast at 25
knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
