This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for piedmont North Carolina,
western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A low pressure system off the coast is expected to make landfall
along the South Carolina coast this afternoon, then move inland
across the Carolinas tonight through Tuesday. Heavy rainfall is
expected starting this afternoon through Tuesday morning, with
isolated flash flooding possible. Strong wind gusts are possible
this morning through early Tuesday morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

As the remnant low moves inland, it will weaken and take the threat
of heavy rain north of the area by late Tuesday. There may be some
additional heavy rain along the North Carlina Escarpment during the
day Tuesday.
