There is a 50% Probability of minimum temperatures of 73F or warmer. Extreme heat risk will occur through the duration of this heat wave. * WHERE...A portion of central California. * WHEN...Until 8 AM PDT Thursday, July 11. * IMPACTS...This level of rare, long-duration extreme heat with little to no overnight relief affects everyone, especially those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Impacts likely in most health systems, heat-sensitive industries and infrastructure. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take extra precautions when outside.
